Day Four

I woke up feeling VERY sluggish this morning.  I actually slept until after 8:00, which isn't normal for me.  Menopause usually has me up at 6:30 or 7:00.

I ended up really rushed for work and ran out of the house after eating an apple.  I worked non-stop all day and had to go to the mall for some things and then went to Applebees and totally blew this diet all to shit.  I have a party to go to tomorrow so I know I will have some cocktails and finger food there.

Soooooooooooooooooooo, back to the drawing board as of Sunday.  Sigh......

Day Three

Well, today was the same as yesterday.  Feeling more energetic and not feeling hungry.  Still have aches and pains, but that could be old age.  Had my yogurt and fruit for breakfast, eggs and fruit for lunch and had eggs and tomato salad for dinner.  Didn't have a lot of free time, hence the boringness of my diet today.

Day Two

Well I realized today, that I never ate any yogurt yesterday.  Ooopsie!  I had eggs and grapefruit for breakfast and tuna and an apple for lunch.  I've found that I really like Truvia sweetener.  It actually tastes like sugar.  I have been drinking water with lime juice with a little Truvia in it and it is really good and I "ALMOST" don't miss my beloved Coca Cola.

I worked an extremely long day and came home really not hungry, surprisingly.  I had a chicken breast layed out to thaw and went to cook it.  I was looking for the wonderful cajun seasoning that I always use on chicken or burgers and it was missing.  Mr. Bruises informed me that he used it all and then neglected to tell me or purchase more.  Needless to say, I was cranky.

I know the hardest part of this 17 days is going to be my LOATHING of chicken.  I hate it.  My choices are chicken or fish and the only fish on the list I can stomach is tuna.  So, it's tuna, eggs and chicken as my protein choices.  I hope this doesn't get old.

I really don't feel too much difference, maybe a little more energy, but nothing to write home about.

Day One

Well I made it through day one without raiding the fridge.  In all honesty, it was my first day back to work since vacation, so I was busy.  I came home not very hungry though.

I had eggs and an orange for breakfast.  I had tuna and an apple for lunch.  For dinner I had some tomatoes with fat free peppercorn dressing.  I should have had something more to eat with it, but I was too exhausted to cook some chicken.

Tomorrow's another day!

Getting Ready

Well, I have bought the book, read the book and I think tomorrow is the day to start.  I went shopping for food today and I will admit, I wasn't very excited.  I am not a big fan of chicken and I couldn't find any turkey breasts.  So, I got chicken, tuna, eggs, veggies, fruit and yogurt.  I got some things like Salsa and fat free salad dressings to help.

I am going to miss soda.  Bread.  Cheese.  Sweets.  I know I need to miss these things, but it is going to be hard at first.

I am doing this because I need to drop some weight.  I need to feel better.  I need more energy.  I am hoping that once my system is detoxed of all the sugar and garbage that I will experience all of that and then some.

I promise to give this a good go.

See you in the morning!
